Giving Users the Virtual Desktop They Want
Based on their implementation experience, three CIOs talk about the importance of user acceptance when deploying virtual desktops. Carol Fineagan, CIO of EnergySolutions, says that user expectations will make or break desktop virtualization. She has found user sophistication and expectations to be the biggest barriers to success. While they aim to increase the number and type of devices that users can choose from, these CIOs say that some level of device standardization is necessary to ensure the performance and experience that users demand.
