Solving the Automated Vehicle Safety Assurance Challenge
Help shape the definition, application, and standardization of AV safety assurance. Submit your paper to be presented during a special session at ITSC 2019 in Auckland, New Zealand.
Responsibility-Sensitive Safety (RSS)
Intel and Mobileye have proposed a formal, mathematical model to help ensure that an autonomous vehicle is operated in a safe manner. The Responsibility-Sensitive Safety model provides specific and measurable parameters for the human concepts of responsibility and caution and defines a "Safe State" designed to prevent the AV from being the cause of an accident, no matter what action is taken by other vehicles.
Intel’s Automated Driving Garage
Saving lives is what drives us. At Intel and Mobileye, we’re at the forefront of the autonomous driving revolution, and so we design with safety and scalability in mind.
Building Passenger Trust Is Key
The technology for self-driving cars is accelerating quickly, but our driverless future won’t go anywhere if people don’t trust it. Intel’s newly-released Trust Interaction Study for autonomous car passengers investigates this concern. Five trust interactions were prototyped and evaluated: seven areas of tension identified give insights where the industry needs to build trust.
Intel Joins Forces with Mobileye
Mobileye’s leading computer vision expertise with Intel’s high performance computing (HPC) and connectivity expertise to accelerate automated driving solutions from car to the cloud.
Waymo and Intel Collaborate on Self-Driving Car Technology
Waymo and Intel Collaborate on Self-Driving Car Technology. Waymo’s newest vehicles, the self-driving Chrysler Pacifica hybrid minivans, feature Intel®-based technologies for sensor processing, general compute and connectivity, enabling real-time decisions for full autonomy in city conditions.
Our Vision of an Autonomous Future
Fewer crashes. Mobility for all. Intel is connecting today's technology to tomorrow's vision, developing advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) as the building blocks for the future of autonomous driving (AD). Intel is architecting transportation for a better life and safe world.
ADAS Today for the Autonomous Tomorrow
