Manufactured on Intel’s industry-leading 22nm process technology with 3D tri-gate transistors, the Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 v3 product family utilizes the Intel® microarchitecture codenamed Haswell. The E5-2600 E5 v3 product family is the first Intel® processor family to offer 12-core/single-socket or 24-core/dual-socket configurations with extended product life support.

The Intel® Communications Chipset 89xx Series with Intel® QuickAssist Technology paired with the Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 v3 product family offers hardware-assisted acceleration for workload optimization.  

This platform provides performance, I/O, and memory capabilities for a wide range of network-intensive applications. Intel QuickAssist Technology increases server workload efficiency by offloading compute-intensive security, compression and packet operations.
