Customer Support and Warranty

Customer Support and Warranty

  • Our Business Continuity Plan (BCP) is in place globally, and support services remain operational with minimal impact. Please use web ticketing for best results. For current status in your local language, click the yellow banner on www.intel.co.uk/support.

Additional Relief on Warranty Support

  • SWR Freight Cost Waiver: To reduce Intel® Technology Provider Members’ costs related to the Intel warranty process, until further notice, Intel will cover shipping costs and provide a prepaid UPS e-label for Standard Warranty Returns (SWR) in the United States and Canada. Return product shipping costs are also prepaid in the APAC, EMEA, and Latin America regions.
  • Extension of AWR Return Period: Current business and logistical challenges may prevent the timely return of defective products to complete the Advanced Warranty Replacement (AWR) process. Until further notice, Intel® Technology Provider Members with AWR benefits will now have up to 90 days (previously 60 days) to return AWR related defective product. We will continue to send reminders at 30 and 60 days to facilitate the return process.
  • Channel Customers will be eligible to receive FREE PCB design reviews until further notice. Visit the Design-In Tools Store to access the Printed Circuit Board design reviews and additional technical enablement benefits.

Membership Update

  • Intel plans to extend the traditional 12-month membership measurement period to 18 months (2019 + 1H 2020) to determine Partners initial tier at the launch of Intel® Partner Alliance in 2H 2020. Intel is extending the measurement period to 18 months to help mitigate the potential impact of COVID-19 induced disruptions on their tier in the new program. Partners will retain their initial Intel® Partner Alliance tier status through 2021. At the end of 2021, partner status will be evaluated on the prior 12-month measurement period to determine their tier in 2022.
  • We look forward to seeing our partners at Intel® Virtual Partner Connect to collaborate on technology and solutions for this challenging time.

Intel® Technology Provider – Points

  • Due to the disruption COVID-19 has caused to our partners around the world, we are extending points that expired at the end of March, for a full 90 days, to allow partners to use them for rewards and vouchers that will help drive their business. During this process, points that previously expired at the end of March were reinstated during the first week of April and will permanently expire at the end of June if they remain unused. We recommend partners use their points on vouchers to help delay their costs in the short term. Visit the Points site to check your balance and redeem.
  • Starting April 20th, we will have an unlimited 10% off on Distributor Vouchers until June 30th. This will allow partners to get more value for their points when they buy through our authorized distribution network. For example, a $50 USD voucher that generally costs 560 points will cost 504 points.
  • We will offer new Points earning opportunities for training courses in Q2’20 and are looking at promotions for targeted products through authorized distribution. More details to come in the coming days.
