Pros

sturdily made and cleaner looking than past Nitros, fast and quiet keyboard witt NumPad and 4zone RGB, good quality 144 Hz IPS screen option, performs well across the board, runs quietly with daily use and games, easy to open up and upgrade

Cons

smudgy plastic build, with some red accents, no biometrics, cardreader or USBC video/charging, not the fastest i7 implementation, and high CPU temperatures in games on this version

All told, the Acer Nitro 5 is a pleasing package. It's an affordable gaming laptop that still manages to perform under pressure - delivering a great gaming experience to match the fast display. It's not without a few niggles that include minor light bleed...
