Krishnan Ravichandran received the BSCE degree from IIT Madras, India, and the MSCE degree from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA, USA. He has been with Intel for 30+ years starting in the Mobile Platforms Group, where was part of the Core Architecture Team that launched several generations of mobile processors including the Centrino Family of mobile processors. He played key roles in the development of several mobility technologies including Quickstart/Stpclk, SpeedStep/Geyserville, etc to enable the growth of laptops to >50% of client PC in <15yrs . Since 2003, he has been with Intel Labs leading the Power Delivery Research Group where he and his team research and develop efficient and high performance power management circuits (e.g FIVR) to meet the needs for all platforms across Intel’s product lines.
