What do I do when Hard Drives Aren't Recognized by the Hardware Intel® RAID Controller?

What am I seeing?

Hard drives aren't recognized by the RAID card.

How to fix it

Reseat the hard drives and ensure that they are properly seated in the slot.

Ensure that cables are properly connected to the Intel® RAID Controller and this to the backplane. The image below is an example:
