Resolution

The Processor Thermal Trip event initially means the processor got so hot that its over-temperature protection was triggered and the system was shut down to prevent damage (qtd. on page# 49 of the System Event Log (SEL) Troubleshooting Guide)

If this was a one-time event; if the fans are currently working fine and temperature is normal, proceed clearing the System Event Log and performing a stress test on this system. Otherwise, please, contact Intel Customer Support with the event logs for analysis.
