How to Find the Code Name for Intel® Processors

To find the code name for your processors, follow the steps below:

• Need to get the name and the number of the processors? Check how to identify my processors.
• Go to Product Page Support.
• Locate the search field on the top right corner of the page and type in the number of your Intel® Processor.
• On the processor page and under Essential, locate the Code Name.

Example: Intel® Core™ Processor number i5-8400

1. Go to Product Page Support.

   

2. Type in i5-8400 in the search field.

   
    

3. On the product page of Intel® Core™ i5-8400 and under Essentials, locate the Code Name field. For this processor, the code name is Coffee Lake.
