After creating a user defined Common Flash Interface (CFI) flash device in the Quartus II programmer, how do I select it to allow me to program my flash device with my user defined parameters, via Parallel Flash Loader (PFL)?

Description

After you have created a user defined CFI flash device in the Quartus® II software, choose the CFI_<flash size> from the default list of flash devices, where <flash size> matches the memory size of your target flash device.

During programming, the Quartus II software will read the manufacturer ID and device ID of the flash device and if this matches the parameters in your user defined flash entry, the PFL will use your user defined programming times to program the flash device.

The Quartus II software will also display the user defined flash name in the messages window.
