    Description

    Due to a problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software version 17.0 and earlier, you may see this internal error message when the target device is selected as the smallest Intel® Cyclone® 10 GX device (10CX085YF672E6G) and migration device is selected as any larger Intel® Cyclone® 10 GX device.

    Error: CYCLONE10GX_V4_F672E3G PAD_ALL - 16 out of 667 pins failed migration: L22 L21 F23 F24 H23 H24 K23 K24 M23 M24 N22 N21 P23 P24 T23 T24

    Resolution

    To work around this problem, remove the migration device from Assignments> Device> Migration Devices. You do not need to select the
    larger device as migration device when smallest device is targeted as it has most restricted pinout.

    This problem is fixed beginning with the Intel Quartus Prime Pro Edition software version 17.1
