Can I dynamically reconfigure a Stratix IV transceiver between Deterministic Latency mode and other functional mode?

Environment

BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
Description

No. You cannot dynamically reconfigure Stratix® IV transceiver from Deterministic Latency mode to any other functional mode and vice versa.

Furthermore, within Deterministic Latency mode, the following reconfigurations are not allowed.

  • Phase compensation FIFO register mode to/from non-register mode
  • PFD feedback mode to/from non-PFD feedback mode

Dynamically changing the data rate within Deterministic Latency mode is allowed.

For example, you cannot reconfigure from Deterministic Latency mode to Basic mode, but you can change the data rate of transceiver in Deterministic Latency mode between 1.2288Gbps and 4.9152Gbps.
