Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger was joined by U.S. President Joe Biden, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo, and government and community leaders in Chandler, Arizona, on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, to celebrate Intel’s U.S. CHIPS and Science Act direct funding announcement. Intel executives and state and local officials also took part in the historic event. The proposed funding will support new construction, expansion and tool modernization at Intel’s U.S.-based sites in Arizona, New Mexico, Ohio and Oregon, enabling the company to produce the world’s most advanced chips by 2025.
