Join the Intel® Connectivity Research Program
Become a member of the community and collaborate with industry peers to create the next generation of networking innovation where performance and programmability can be delivered together.
Advance Your Groundbreaking Networking Research
The project invites research organizations to access Intel® Tofino™ series platforms and software in a scalable way. Intel® Tofino™ runs at 6.5 Tb/s and is fully P4 programmable. Explore new forwarding plane functions by describing them in P4, then compiling and running them. If your P4 program fits on Intel® Tofino™, it always runs at line rate.
The Intel® Connectivity Research Program provides a private online community group in which members support each other by sharing questions, knowledge, and experience. The goal is to expand understanding of networking possibilities and ignite development of innovative solutions that improve people’s lives.

Program Membership Requirements
To join and participate in the Intel® Connectivity Research Program, applicants must meet the following obligations.
Confidentiality Agreement
A software license and confidentiality agreement (SLACA) shall be executed as is by the professor or research chair. This is a standard agreement accepted by over 100 universities and research organizations around the world. If you believe modifications to the agreement are absolutely necessary, please note the current wait time for legal review is approximately three to six months.
Support
All participants acknowledge and agree that Intel will not be able to provide any direct support. Instead, participants should seek help from other members in the Intel® Community—Connectivity Research Program Private Group. The private group is open to all Intel® Connectivity Academy (ICA) Research Program participants.
Training
Intel has authorized a third party to offer ICA and Intel Connectivity Advanced Online Videos for customers who are interested in learning more about Tofino products and P4 programming.
Your customer may be contacted by academy@p4ica.com to help them schedule these training classes if they have opted in to the Intel Connectivity Research Program (ICRP).
Intel® Tofino™
All member organizations are responsible for acquiring a switch with Intel® Tofino™. Intel will not sell or loan any switches and all members are expected to have their own plan to acquire a switch. Please refer to the following partner websites for more details:
Participation
Participants are highly encouraged to share questions, knowledge, and experience with each other to help promote the advancement of the community. All groups shall actively engage and answer at least one question per quarter in the Intel® Connectivity Research Program Private Group.
Code of Conduct
Participants are expected to treat each other with respect. Forum postings should be constructive. Offensive, misrepresented, harmful, infringing, and unlawful comments or content are unacceptable. User or member group accounts may be suspended if proper conduct is not maintained.
