5.3. Power Measurement

There are eight power supply rails that have on-board voltage, current and wattage sense capabilities. Precision sense resistors split the ADC devices and rails from the primary supply plane for the ADC to measure voltage and current. An I2C bus connects the ADC device to the MAX® V CPLD EPM2210 System Controller as well as the Intel® Stratix® 10 GX FPGA.

The VCC rail for the FPGA core power is directly measured by the LTM4677 I2C enabled voltage regulator module. Power measurements can be read from the LTM4677 device through its I2C interface connected to the MAX® V CPLD system controller.
